My lab focus on exploring the role of epigenetic regulation on gene expression during plant evolution and identifying pivotal genes and epialleles related to important agronomic traits through a combination of bioinformatics, population genetics, multi-omics and gene editing. We hope to make significant contributions to elucidate the evolution and function of polyploidy in crops and create novel interspecific hybrids and polyploid crops, aiding food security and sustainable environment.
