教育部“大豆生物技术育种研究”创新团队和农业农村部“大豆生物学与遗传育种”创新团队带头人，国家科技创新领军人才、科技部中青年科技创新领军人才、农业部全国农业科研杰出人才、教育部新世纪优秀人才、江苏省高层次创新创业人才。从事教学与科研工作，主要研究方向为作物（大豆）遗传育种、基因组学与分子育种。曾获美国伊利诺伊大学Fred Clute Memorial Award奖，文章发表在PNAS、New Phytologist、Plant Biotechnology Journal、Genetics等刊物，其中SCI论文累计被引用3632次，发表英文专著章节5篇，获授权专利10项、软件著作权1项。承担国家自然科学基金、科技部、教育部和农业农村部等科研项目。
